Kurt Weill – Concerto For Violin And Wind Orchestra Op.12 (1924) – 3. Allegro molto, un poco agitato | Nona Liddell | London Sinfonietta | David Atherton | Bewegte Zeiten – Neue Musik in der Weimarer Republik ℗ 1976 Deutsche Grammophon GmbH, Berlin.

The photo studio founded in 1913 by Nini (1884–1943?) And Carry Hess (1889–1957) was one of the most respected in Germany. They captured the innovative Frankfurt stage events of these years in stills and role portraits. Impressive portraits of stars such as Heinrich George and Mary Wigman, Thomas Mann, C. G. Jung or Max Beckmann attest to the quality of their work, in which they approached the visual language of “Das Neue Sehen” (New Vision).

The work of the photographers, which was destroyed when the studio was destructed on the Pogrom Night of 1938, has been comprehensively reconstructed using around 120 vintage prints.
