Ingredients (2 persons):
- 1/2 mango
- 1 yogurt or kefir (125 gr)
- 1/4 l cow's milk
- a spoonful of sugar
- salt
- 1 cardamom
- a pinch of turmeric
Elaboration of the mango lassi recipe:
To prepare the mango lassi, place the kefir (or yogurt) in a bowl. in an American glass and add a cardamom seed, the turmeric and the chopped mango.
Sprinkle with sugar and salt and mash well.
Serve the mango lassi in a glass.
What is the lassi ?
Lassi is a typical Indian drink whose main ingredient is yogurt. The lassi is served cold and is very refreshing. This drink can be sweet or salty, and in the latter case pepper or cumin is usually added. In addition, lassi can be prepared with fruits such as banana, papaya or mango, as in this recipe.
